Boss Factory Lets You Create Your Saints Row Character Right Now

Saints Row Boss Factory

Saints Row may not launch until August, but you can create the character you’ll play as right now thanks to Boss Factory.

Available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via the Epic Store, Boss Factory lets you play with Saints Row‘s character creation tools. Then, once you’re happy with your work, you can save your character to a library, and even share it with others. Even better, it’s absolutely free.

Any of the characters you create will automatically be available in the full game if you use Boss Factory on the same platform. Though all of your creations – and those of others – will be easily accessible on other platforms, too, thanks to a neat share code system. You can even browse creations to see if any catch your eye.

You’re able to customise your characters in more detail than ever in Saints Row, and you’ll get a taste of that when using Boss Factory. While not every customisation option is available (those locked behind progression aren’t included), you can have fun changing the material of selected items, and altering their colours. You can even create a character with a face that isn’t symmetrical for the first time. There are so many options, you could spend hours upon hours tweaking your creations.

You can create and edit as many Bosses as you like in Boss Factory, but you only have six slots to save your favourites. And if you’re going to pick up the full game, it’s definitely worth interacting with it. Anyone who downloads Boss Factory and shares a Boss will receive two exclusive DJ Helmets when the game launches, as long as they’re using the same platform.

What’s not included in Boss Factory are the many weapon and vehicle customisation options that will be available in Saints Row. You can read more about them here. Still, it at least gives you a taste of what to expect. And honestly, we can’t wait to go hands-on with the full game. Despite the new setting and characters, it looks like a Saints Row game through and through.

Saints Row launches 23rd August, so you’ve got plenty of time to play around with Boss Factory in order to create your perfect avatar. Want some inspiration? Take a look at four of characters we’ve created below.
