How to Play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge With Friends

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge players

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is great, but it’s even better if you play with friends. Here’s how to do it.

There are two ways to play with others in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge – locally and online. No matter how you choose, you’re going to have a great time. The more players in the game, the more chaotic and enjoyable the action becomes. And, playing with friends means you can make use of cool features like the cheering-up mechanic.

How to play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge in local co-op

Playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge in local co-op is perhaps the easiest way to play with friends. It does, of course, mean you need to be in the same room as everyone you want to play with. And you’ll also need a controller for each person.

To play in local co-op mode, simply start the game and ensure everyone’s controller is connected. Players can join at any time by pressing a button on their controller. The downside is that only the host player will unlock trophies/achievements by playing this way.

What is particularly cool about local co-op, however, is that up to six players can join on one system on Xbox, Switch and PC. It’s limited to four players on PlayStation.

Playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge with friends online

To play Shredder’s Revenge with your friends online, you’ll first need to party up. It’s a very simple process. From the main menu, one player needs to press triangle (or Y on Xbox/X on Switch) then select “create party”.

Within that menu, you can choose to make your party publicly available, friends-only, or private (i.e. by invitation only). No matter what you choose, you’ll get the option to invite players on the next screen.

If you choose public or friends only, your friends will be able to see your party when searching. Otherwise, send invites to everyone you want to play with. Once you’re all in a party, simply start a game and you’ll all be there together.

Playing online means everyone in the party will unlock trophies/achievements for their progress.
