How Long Does it Take to Beat MADiSON?

MADiSON Review 3 (1)

Wondering how long it will take you to complete MADiSON, the new horror game from Bloodious Games? Here’s what you need to know.

Being heavily puzzle-driven, how long it takes you to beat MADiSON will heavily depend on how quickly you solve its puzzles. If you get stumped on any one puzzle, you can easily spend close to an hour wandering around, checking to see if you’ve missed anything.

Our first playthrough of MADiSON took close to 10 hours. That involved quite a lot of time getting stuck on puzzles, and backtracking to find a solution.

However, we think that’s a reasonable estimate for anyone playing this game without a guide. If you’re determined to solve most of the puzzles yourself, expect to spend 8-10 hours with MADiSON, becoming fully absorbed in its macabre yet fascinating world.

But since guides are now freely available on the internet (we had no such luxury, playing before launch!), your play time may be cut down significantly. If you check a solution whenever you get stuck, you’ll likely complete MADiSON in five to six hours.

In fact, there’s even a trophy/achievement for completing MADiSON in 2.5 hours. That’s serious speed run territory.

We’d heartily recommend you try to puzzle your way through the game without help. It really is an experience worth battling through. Use the help if you need it, but try to beat your first run without relying on a guide! Go for that 2.5-hour speedrun afterwards, if you wish.
