Wondering how long it will take you to make your way through to the end of Cult of the Lamb? Here’s what you need to know.
Cult of the Lamb is a game of two halves, essentially. You’ll spend time nurturing your cult, ensuring their needs are cared for by building up your camp. And you’ll also spend time out fighting your way through dungeons, slaying enemies and collecting resources as you go. There’s also new areas to explore, NPCs to meet, and a wealth of buildings and upgrades to unlock. With so much going on, then, how long does it take to beat Cult of the Lamb?
We’d expect an average player to finish Cult of the Lamb within about 15-20 hours. There’s quite a lot to sink your teeth into, and if you want to get the most out of the game, you’ll likely spend even longer with it. But if you rush through, doing only what is necessary to progress, and don’t have any trouble with its combat, you can be done in as little as 10-12 hours.
That seems very unlikely, however, with so much side content to get distracted with. There’s the minigame of Knucklebones, which is easy to lose hours to by itself, for example. And you can jump back into dungeons as many times as you like – ideal for gathering resources to expand your camp facilities.
Essentially, the more time you put into Cult of the Lamb, the more you’ll get out of it. Rush through, and you’ll be done in about 12 hours, but you’ll miss out on a lot of the fun. Savour everything it has to offer, and you can expect to still be playing after 20 hours. And trust us, you’ll want to eke out every moment – we didn’t want it to end.
