Karl Pilkington Pays a Visit to Fallout: New Vegas

Fallout New Vegas Karl Pilkington

Karl Pilkington, the world’s most cynical tourist, is roaming Fallout: New Vegas and it’s as marvellous as you might expect.

YouTuber HuffingtonPants’s Skyrim/Karl Pilkington has produced several similar mash-up videos, including Karl’s original visit to Skyrim, which saw him besieged by quest-givers. That video remains our favourite, but Karl’s visit to Goodsprings, Fallout: New Vegas’s opening location (or Nuttersville as Karl calls it), is definitely HuffingtonPants’s second best.

Why? Because, as most New Vegas players do, poor old Karl gets dragged into the battle between the townsfolk and the Powder Gangers. What’s can one grumpy and slightly bewildered presenter do against a gang of dynamite-flinging, denim-wearing baddies? Yeah, the Powder Gangers really don’t stand a chance.

Aside from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas, HuffingtonPants has also sent Karl to Half-Life 2’s City 17, The Forest’s, er, forest as well as the worlds of Dragon Ball Z and Red Dead Redemption 2. All are well worth a watch, and can be found on their YouTube channel here.

Though.. that might not be the end of it. A new challenger has appeared in the shape of the equally bald Grant Mitchell aka Ross Kemp. Could we be getting a Karl/Kemp crossover, maybe in Elden Ring? We have our fingers crossed.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
