Life is Strange Arcadia Bay Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch this September.
No, we’ve not been scarfing so many corner shop energy drinks that the taurine has gone to our heads. We know that the PC, PlayStation and Xbox version of Life is Strange Arcadia Bay Collection were released in February, remastering both Life is Strange and its prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
But the Nintendo Switch version, also known as The Life is Strange Remastered Collection ended up being delayed, and is only now arriving on Switch. The fourth Life is Strange game, Life is Strange: True Colours was also delayed (though it was eventually released) so the series hasn’t fared well on Switch.
Hopefully, Life is Strange Arcadia Bay Collection will fix that and if you’ve never played either of the two titles, you’re in for a treat. The remastered version may not be revolutionary, as we pointed out in our review, but each title tells a great story.
Life is Strange, Dontnod Entertainment’s original, casts you as Max Caulfield, a photography student who, getting back in contact with an old friend, discovers she has the power to rewind time. Life is Strange: Before the Storm, which was released by Deck Nine follows the story of that friend, Chloe Price, as she finds herself drawn to a schoolmate, Rachel Amber.
True, the latter doesn’t involve any special powers but that makes it no less compelling, and it helps you understand why Chloe is so distraught when Rachel.. well, we won’t spoil it for you.
Life is Strange Arcadia Bay Collection arrives on Nintendo Switch digitally this September 27th, with a physical version also available for pre-order from the Square Enix store, priced at £34.99
