Karl Pilkington is back, and this time he’s in Mass Effect. And it’s everything we hoped it would be.
Granted, it’s not quite the same as modding the Mancunian presenter and comedian into the game but thanks, once again, to talented YouTuber HuffingtonPants, it’s the next best thing. They’ve taken footage of Karl from various sources and mashed it up together with footage of space-RPG trilogy Mass Effect to make Karl a Spectre, charged with saving the galaxy from giant mechanical cuttlefish. Yes, we’re doomed.
But, hey, we do get to watch Karl make light of the Citadel Council, complain about his sweaty forehead and take command(ish) of the Normandy. We never thought we’d say this but the video, dubbed Manc Effect, has overtaken this Austin Powers/Mass Effect mash-up as our favourite ME parody.
We could go on, but we’ll let the video, which you can watch below, speak for itself. You can check out HuffingtonPants’ other mash-ups here, which see Karl Pilkington exploring Skyrim, New Vegas and more. Oh, and Ross Kemp puts in an appearance too.
You can also follow HuffingtonPants on Twitter and support them on Patreon. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to meddle with Saints Row Boss Factory – we want to see just how bald and round-headed we can make our character.
