How to Get Rid of Mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley

Are you wondering how to get rid of those unsightly mushrooms littering your town in Disney Dreamlight Valley? Here’s what you need to know.

Here’s the bad news: getting rid of the mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley is a long game. The good news is that you can eventually get rid of them, but you’ll have to complete a number of Friendship Quests from Merlin first.

The first relevant quest you need is called A New Enchantment. Merlin will give this to you fairly early on. If you’re not getting it, work on improving your friendship level with him first. The first part of A New Enchantment will see you gathering Dream Shards. Follow the quest through, and Merlin will eventually enhance your watering can so it can be used to get rid of mushrooms.

Great, right? Well, not quite. It turns out that was just a test from Merlin. And if you want to use your watering can to permanently get rid of mushrooms, you’re going to need to do another quest for him. That second quest is called ‘A Dark Experiment’, which requires you to be friendship level 8 with Merlin.

The first part of A Dark Experiment requires you to collect 20 mushrooms and 5 emeralds. Mushrooms grow in the Glade of Trust. And you can find emeralds in either the Glade or Forest of Valor.

When you’ve completed A Dark Experiment, you can only get rid of small patches of mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley. You’ll need to continue levelling up your friendship with Merlin all the way to 10 to get the final quest – called The Final Trial – to get rid of larger mushroom patches.
