The new Lost Ark class is the Machinist and they’ve not glued a single gear on anything.
After all, with a name like Machinist, we figured this new Lost Ark class would be as Steampunk as they come. Maybe they’d roam this waterlogged MMORPG armed with a fanciful blunderbuss and a hat with a clockwork octopus on it. Maybe they’d even trade their sea-based ship for a zeppelin.
But, no, this class eschews Steampunk in favour of more hi-tech shenanigans. Choose the Machinist and you get to mess around with lasers, a bootleg Iron Man suit and much, much more.
Their skills are split into four categories, Normal, Drone, Combo, and Sync, which can be combined as appropriate. Drone is by far the most interesting, since it should – in theory – let you take a step back while your metal pal does the work. Being able to call in an air strike with your Awakening skills also sounds suitably ridiculous. And we’re sure the exploding battery skill will lead to a Tesla joke or two.
