Photography adventure TOEM, which launched just under a year ago, is celebrating its anniversary with a free new region.
TOEM is an adorable outing that sees you heading to a magical mountaintop, assisting all manner of people on the way. That assistance typically involves using your photography skills, hence the game’s full moniker, TOEM: A Photo Adventure. We absolutely loved it, stating that, “It’s the sort of game that makes the world seem like a better place – even if only for a few hours.”
Now, TOEM is getting an entirely new region and, with it, a whole new crowd of people who need your assistance. You do need to unlock the content by completing the game but given that you’re not paying for it, that’s a non-issue. There’ll also be new achievements to unlock, if you’re a real completist.
The region, dubbed Basto (stop laughing at the back) is TOEM’s largest yet and will be arriving on PC this September 16th. It’ll hit PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch a little later, which means it’s possible it’ll miss the anniversary entirely, but hopefully it’ll be worth waiting for.
If you’ve never played TOEM it’s 50% off on Steam right now, making it £7.74/$9.99. It’s also one of this month’s PlayStation Plus Essentials games, meaning you can get it absolutely free. So you’ve no excuse for not roaming this cutesy, black and white world and getting a few snaps in.
