Disney Dreamlight Valley players are set to get a free in-game Walt Disney statue, arriving in the not-too-distant future.
Yes, it’s absolutely free though, sadly, it’s not a giant replica of Walt Disney’s frozen head. Instead, the statue coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley will be a virtual replica of the Partners statue, which shows Walt Disney holding Mickey Mouse’s hand. The original copper statue, created in the 90s, stands in Disneyland, California, but copies have also been placed at other Disney locations.
Now, after the Animal Crossing-style life-sim hit its 35K follower Community Challenge target, across Instagram and Twitter, it’s arriving in the game. That’s not to say you have to accept the statue; it’s not going to materialise overnight in your valley. But once it arrives in your inbox, you’ll be able to place it anywhere you like.
So when is it arriving? There’s no date as yet, though the official Dreamlight Valley account has tweeted out some concept art, which you can see above. The statue looks set to include the whole water feature, not just the copper statue itself. So you’ll need to find a place in your valley where you can really show it off.
And, if we’re honest, the statue can’t come soon enough. We’ve got a big kick out of the game but we’ve found ourselves craving even more content. If future Community Challenges result in more freebies, bring them on!
