Here’s Everything Revealed During Konami’s Silent Hill Stream

Silent Hill

The time has finally come: Konami has lifted the lid on its upcoming Silent Hill projects, treating us to a 40-minute stream of everything Silent Hill.

The Stream, which was aired on YouTube at 10pm BST, showed off a range of Silent Hill projects in development. Some of them had been heavily rumoured previously, but having confirmation has been quite the treat. And so, without further ado, here’s everything that was revealed during Konami’s Silent Hill Stream.

Silent Hill 2 Remake

Silent Hill 2 has been completely remade, and this first trailer looks fantastic. It’s being developed by Bloober Team, with input from Masahiro Ito and music by Akira Yamaoka. It’s a PS5 console exclusive title (a PC release is coming) – although we don’t have a release date just yet.

Silent Hill: Townfall

Annapurna Interactive and Observation developer No Code are working with Konami to bring the next new Silent Hill title to life. The teaser doesn’t give much away, but it’s safe to say we’re very intrigued to find out more. We’ll get to see more about it early next year.

Return to Silent Hill

Next up, a new film adaptation to reboot the franchise for cinema. It’s being directed by Christophe Gans, the director behind the first film. It sounds to be largely based on the events of Silent Hill 2. We can look forward to reimagined monster designs and a unique take on the world of Silent Hill.

Silent Hill: Ascension

The CEO of Genvid has revealed “a new take” on the Silent Hill universe. It’s being worked on by Genvid, Bad Robot Games, DJ2 Entertainment and Behaviour Interactive. The teaser trailer has given very little away, but this will be a large-scale multiplayer experience where players will experience a story together and make decisions to shape the story. It’s being directed by J. J. Abrams, and so it’s safe to say we’re excited to see more.

Silent Hill F

Finally, here’s one more brand new Silent Hill game. The cinematic trailer tells us that this is set in Japan, and there’s some very dark forces at work. Though if you’ve got trypophobia (or a fear of your face peeling off) you might want to give this trailer a miss.

Merchandise

It wouldn’t be a Konami announcement without adding some merchandise. We got a look at some upcoming statues, including Pyramid Head and James Sutherland, and a coin bank of Silent Hill 2‘s secret ending.

More information on each of the products is available in the full livestream. And of course, we’ll have more on them in the coming weeks and months.

Kim's been into video games since playing Dizzy on her brother's Commodore 64 as a wee nipper. She'll give just about anything a go, but she's got a soft spot for story-driven adventures and open world escapades. If she's not gaming, she's probably cooing over pictures of baby animals or watching re-runs of Friends for the 137th time.
