Here’s What Else is Coming to Xbox Game Pass This October

Xbox Game Pass October Wave 2

We’re just over halfway though October which means it’s time for another way of Xbox Game Pass games.

So, a couple of days later than usual, Microsoft has revealed just which titles will be making their way to the PC and Xbox Game Pass this October. And, while it’s not on the list, their announcement rightly encourages you to take a look at A Plague Tale: Requiem, which is on the subscription service right now. Check out our review to find why it’s worth your time.

So what else is arriving between now and the end of the month. There’s a grand total of four Amnesia games, three bundled together as the Amnesia Collection and one, Amnesia Rebirth on its own. You should absolutely play them all, unless you absolutely abhor survival horror.

We’d say more but it’s better you go in cold, at least as far as the first couple of games are concerned. The same is true of Soma, a sci-fi based game from Frictional Games who also  developed three of the aforementioned Amnesia games. This one is less terrifying but it’s wonderfully brain-bending.

Frictional’s oeuvre aside, what else is on offer? The full list of titles is as follows:

  • Amnesia: Collection (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 20
  • Amnesia: Rebirth (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 20
  • Phantom Abyss (Game Preview) (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – October 20
  • Soma (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 20
  • Persona 5 Royal (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 21
  • Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery (PC) – October 27
  • Gunfire Reborn (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 27
  • Signalis (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 27

Signalis is a day one release, the rest have been previously released though of those other games there’s not a duff title in that list.

The following titles, meanwhile, are leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of the month. If you’ve not tackled The Forgotten City, don’t let this gem pass you by.

  • Alan Wake: American Nightmare (Console and PC)
  • Backbone (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Bassmaster Fishing 2022 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Project Wingman (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Second Extinction (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Sniper Elite 4 (Console and Cloud)
  • The Forgotten City (Cloud, Console, and PC)

And, last but not least, don’t forget to check out the games that joined Game Pass earlier this month.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
