Restoring the Sunstone is a quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley that you’ll receive once you reach friendship level 10 with Mother Gothel. (Need help in quickly levelling up your friendship? Check our our guide here.) After accepting the quest and talking to Mother Gothel, she’ll give you some fragments which need restoring. Take them to a cooking station, and you’ll end up with a restored Dawn Fragment.
Take the Dawn Fragment back to Mother Gothel, who’ll then give you a Dusk Fragment. To restore this one, it needs planting in the Forgotten Lands. It doesn’t matter where, but we’d recommend near the entrance to the Forgotten Lands, just so you don’t have to go so far to retrieve it.
Restoring the Sunstone quest: How long does it take for the Dusk Fragment to be ready?
When you’ve planted the Dusk Fragment in the Forgotten Lands, you need to be patient. It takes over 24 hours to ‘grow’, or be ready to dig up. And it’ll need watering during that time. You can water it straight away, but then you’ll just need to leave it and wait. Once it’s ready, the ground will sparkle and you’ll be prompted to harvest it.
Once you’ve finally harvested the Dusk Fragment, take it back to Mother Gothel. She’ll then give you the final part of the quest: gather Sun Meteorites in the Forgotten Lands. These are small orange fires on the ground. Thankfully, they’re easy to spot amongst the green flames that litter the area.
Once you’ve found them, once again go back to Mother Gothel. She’ll give you some fragments, which can be used to craft the Sunstone at a workbench. And that’s it: you’ve completed Restoring the Sunstone in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
