Steam Scream Fest is a chance to save big on some great PC horror games.
Full games aside, there are also a wealth of spooky demos available, including titles that have yet to be released. So, even if you’re short on cash, having bought a truck-load of Trick or Treat sweets, it’s still worth giving Steam Scream Fest a look.
One catch is that, like a lot of Halloween-themed sales and seasonal events, it has to end. You’ve got until the morning of November 1st to snap up some scary games or delve into whichever heart-stopping demo you’ve got a hankering for.
And the other catch? There’s an awful lot on offer, so knowing what to purchase and demo can be tricky. Here then, are some of the highlights of the sale that you should absolutely pick up, both in terms of savings and entertainment factor.
On sale:
- The Forest
- Dying Light
- Resident Evil 2
- Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
- Hunt: Showdown
- Dead by Daylight
- Days Gone
- Inscryption
- Monster Prom
As for demos, these titles are well worth a test drive and, if they take your fancy, some can be purchased at a discount.
- The Mortuary Assistant
- Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony
- The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan
- The MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories
- Dredge
- System Shock
- Slay the Princess
There’s more to find, so feel free to have a good explore – you can find the whole Steam Scream Fest sale here. You’ll also find several whole series discounted. For example, with The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me arriving next month, why not snap up any of the previous games that you’ve yet to play?
Whatever you choose, remember to turn the lights off and put your headphones on – it’s the way these games were meant to be played.
