Black Adam is coming to MultiVersus this week, along with Arcade Mode.
Does that mean you’ll get to play as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s version of the Black Adam? Probably not. Going by the brief teaser trailer WB Games has released it seems MultiVersus is getting a comic/cartoon accurate version. That’s not entirely surprising given that companies typically have to pay celebrities to use their likeness.
But unleashing Black Adams’ lightning powers on your foes should be fun, particularly if you’ve got two traditionally uneven characters involved. We’re sure PETA would have a word or two say about the DC Comics anti-hero calling lightning down upon the small and fuzzy Mogwai, Gizmo.
Black Adam aside, Arcade Mode is also arriving in MultiVersus this week. The game won’t be getting anything near as extensive as Injustice’s single-player story mode, but you’ll be able to go through fighter after fighter, Street Fighter II style. If nothing else, it should be good for polishing up your skills in preparation for human opponents.

It’s true that “later this week” could mean any time up till 11.59PM this Sunday. But we’ve got our fingers crossed that both Black Adam and Arcade Mode join the game sooner rather than later.
