A very special season is nearly upon us. Yes, it’s games of the year time and Time Magazine have got a head start.
Time Magazine or, more precisely, Time Culture, have come up with their top ten games of 2022. It’ll come as very little surprise that God of War Ragnarok, which launched earlier this month, has grabbed then number one spot.
We’re not going to disagree, though. We awarded it a phenomenal 10 out of 10 in our review, calling it “… bigger and better than 2018’s God of War in every single way.” Though there’s going to be egg on Time’s face if, for example, The Callisto Protocol or Midnight Suns turn out to be Kratos-beaters.

You can click through to find out what we thought of these games. We do think Time are being a little cheeky including Shadows of Rose given that it’s DLC. But, apart from that, there’s nothing that stands out as being horribly misplaced. You can expect other outlets – including us – to catch up with their Game of the Year lists later in December.
