Dead by Daylight Adds Some Horrifyingly Seasonal Outfits

Dead by Daylight Deck the Trials

‘Tis the season to be horribly murdered! At least, that’s where Dead by Daylight is going with its Christmas-styled outfits.

We were going to say “Hey, it worked for Dead Rising 4” but then we remembered what a crushing disappointment that title was. But while this asymetric multiplayer stalk-and-slash seems like the last game that would get seasonal outfits, given its subject matter, we have to admit these Dead by Daylight outfits look pretty snazzy.

There are five outfits to so far. One is for killer The Trickster, while the others are for survivors Meg Thomas, Kate Denson, Mikaela Reid and Yun-Jin Lee. You can check out all the outfits here, but the style ranges from Christmas jumpers through to party dresses. Mikaela’s outfit has an “Elsa from Frozen” vibe as well.

The outfits were selected by community vote and are available from now until January 4th. These are premium outfits so you’ll have to fork out for them if you want to give your survivor – or murderer – a festive makeover. However, that’s not all that’s coming to Dead by Daylight this month.

Developer Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that last year’s Bone Chill festival will be returning. There’ll be various other festive trappings to admire and, in some cases, use to your advantage. Last years Bone Chill let you hide inside a snowman and shuffle around the map, something we’re hoping makes a return.

Dead by Daylight’s Bone Chill festival returns this December 8th. The outfits, dubbed the “Dead the Trials” collection, are available right now.

He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
