Are you jumping into Need for Speed Unbound for the first time and wondering if you can play with friends on other formats? Read on.
Need for Speed Unbound is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. And so, if you’re hoping to play with friends, you might be thinking of co-ordinating to ensure you all buy it on the same format. But you don’t have to. We’ve got good news: Need for Speed Unbound does indeed support crossplay.
Whether you’re playing on PS5, Xbox Series X/S or PC, you can play with friends regardless of their platform choice. So, if you’re rocking an Xbox Series X but your pals are on PS5, don’t worry: you will still be able to find each other in game.
Crossplay is turned on in Need for Speed Unbound by default. When you start playing, you’ll be asked if you want to keep it on or turn it off. No matter what you choose, though, you can turn it on or off at any point.
Head to the ‘Settings and Accessibility’ option in the main menu. From there, go to ‘Game’, then toggle ‘Enable Cross-play’. That’s it!
Unfortunately, Need for Speed Unbound doesn’t support cross-progression. Despite allowing you to play with friends on other formats, you can’t continue your own game on a different format. And so, if you’re on PS5, you’ll have to stay on PS5 unless you want to start again from scratch.
