How to Fast Travel in Dragon Quest Treasures

Dragon Quest Treasures preview

Are you wondering if you can fast travel in Dragon Quest Treasures? Here’s everything you need to know.

Let’s start with the short answer. No, you can’t fast travel in Dragon Quest Treasures, not in the traditional sense anyway. But there are several ways you can get around the world quicker.

You can’t simply load up a map and choose a point to instantly warp to. It’s a shame, because the maps in Dragon Quest Treasures are huge, and you’re going to spend a great deal of time simply travelling across them. But it’s for the best: the whole point of the game is to hunt down treasure. And if you’re fast travelling left, right and centre, you’re going to miss it all!

Thankfully, there are ways to make traversal easier. The first is to unlock more train stations in Dragon Quest Treasures. Each island has one already-unlocked train station. But if you explore, you’ll find at least two more on each island. Once they’re unlocked, you’ll be able to travel straight to that point on the map, making it easier to get to specific points.

You can also make use of a monster with the ‘Sprint’ forte. Sprinting allows you to quickly travel across the map much faster than you could on your own two feet. Make sure you have a monster with ‘Sprint’ in your party – Sham Hatwitch, Great Sabrecat and Restless Armour all have it. To use the forte, press ‘L’ then the face button that corresponds with the relevant monster.
