Wondering how to save your game in Dragon Quest Treasures? Never fear: here’s what you need to know.
Dragon Quest Treasures is a sizable RPG, and so it’s important that you save your game regularly. After all, nobody likes losing progress in a videogame, right? Thankfully, you don’t have to worry too much: there’s a built-in autosave function which seems pretty robust. And you have the option to save your game whenever you like. Yay!
To make a manual save in Dragon Quest Treasures, hit the ‘+’ button on your Switch to bring up the main in-game menu. Then, navigate to the ‘Options’ menu: it’s a cog icon down at the bottom-left of the screen. Click it, and you’ll see right at the top the option to ‘Save’. Easy!
It’s worth noting that you can only have one save file, so you can’t create multiple states. That said, your manual save is kept separate from your autosave, so if you go to ‘Load’, you’ll always see two files to choose from. (Make sure you check the timestamp on both to ensure you open the right one.)
As for the autosave function, it seems to kick in every time you arrive on a new island, and every time you rest at a campfire. So it’s a good idea to rest at a campfire every time you see one. If you happen to die, you’ll always be taken back to your last save (or autosave), so it’s wise to save as often as possible.
And it goes without saying, but remember to manually save your game before you quit!
