Them’s Fightin’ Herds is Getting a New Fighter and it’s a Load of Bull

Them's Fighting Herds Texas

Them’s Fightin’ Herds is getting a new fighter, Texas the Bull, and he’ll be arriving next week.

Sure, pitching a bull against Them’s Fightin’ Herds’ smaller fighters might seem like a recipe for disaster. But the game is balanced enough that no-one fighter can flatten the rest. However, we can still see some opponents being intimidate by the sight of a sheer wall of beef coming right at them.

Texas the Bull is the first fighter from the game’s Season 1 pass, though you can purchase him separately if you’d prefer. His moves include smacking opponents with cowbells and slamming them into a wall that literally wasn’t there two seconds ago. And he’s got an ultra move that puts some of Injustice: Gods Among Us’s over-the-top supers to shame.

He also comes with a new stage, the Caravan Cattledome. We’re certainly glad to see this fighting game getting more content. We had a blast reviewing it and gave it an impressive 8 out 10. However, we also remarked that its roster was a little small so the season pass should, at least, help address that.

Them’s Fighting Herds is around $19.99 on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Mac and PC. You can pick up the season pass for $19.99, which will contain four fighters or just get Texas the Bull for $4.99. Buying the season pass does get you a palette pack and a lobby fashion pack but you’re not saving any money over buying the fighters individually.

Texas the Bull arrives this December 19th, with the next fighter planned for Spring 2023.
