Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider Now Has a Release Date

Vengeful Guardian Moonrider

Buckle up, action game fans: January has just got a little more interesting.

Publisher The Arcade Crew and developer JoyMasher, the duo behind the excellent Blazing Chrome, have today announced the release date for Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider. Channelling the spirit of old-school side-scrollers like Shinobi, it will launch 12th January on PS4, PS5, Switch, PC and Amazon Luna.

In Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider you’ll take control of the titular robotic ninja fighting against the totalitarian state that created it. Across eight stages you’ll witness a striking dedication to recapturing the magic of 16-bit action games, with refined platforming and challenging combat. We went hands-on with it earlier this year and came away very impressed indeed.

Along with the announcement of a release date, a new trailer for Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider has also been released. Give it a watch below, and if it piques your interest keep the game on your radar. You can also add it to your Steam wishlist.
