There have been many games based on the One Piece franchise, but One Piece Odyssey is a little different.
The One Piece Pirate Warriors games, for example, have let players take control of Luffy and co through dramatic stories complete with lots of fast-paced action. Then there’s been One Piece World Seeker, which offered an open-world action RPG experience. And who can forget One Piece Burning Blood, that offered intense fighting game action? Many of these have even let you play with friends. So you might be wondering: does One Piece Odyssey, a traditional RPG complete with turn based battles, have co-op or multiplayer features?
The answer is no, unfortunately. One Piece Odyssey has no co-op or online multiplayer features whatsoever. Being a traditional RPG, it probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. After all, it’s very much focused on telling a story, and with its battles being turn-based there’s little scope for chaotic co-op action.
As mentioned, though, many previous One Piece games, including One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 and Burning Blood, do allow for co-op and competitive online battles. So, if that’s what’s you’re after, at least there are games available that have what you need. But when it comes to One Piece Odyssey, it’s something you’re going to have to enjoy on your own.
