Goldeneye, Hi-Fi Rush and More Join Xbox Game Pass this Month

Xbox Game Pass Januarry 2022 Wave 2

Microsoft have announced the second wave of Xbox Game Pass games, including Hi-Fi Rush.

We don’t blame you if you’ve never heard of this Xbox Game Pass January addition. Hi-Fi Rush was announced yesterday, during the company’s Xbox Developer Direct and, almost immediately, was out. It’s a rhythm-based action game from Tango Gameworks and, by all accounts it’s pretty excellent.

We’re hoping that the next Xbox Developer Direct, whenever that is, includes a similar surprise release, announced then out straight away. We’ve got our fingers crossed for Fallout: New Vegas 2. Hey, we can dream.

Aside from Hi-Fi Rush, we’re also getting Goldeneye 007, the much-lauded N64 James Bond game. It doesn’t have online play like the Nintendo Switch version but we’re still grinning at the prospect of revisiting it.

So what else is coming this month? Here’s everything hitting Xbox Game Pass between now and the start of.. February? Yes, New Year and the holiday season are still having a knock-on effect.

There are some real gems there. In fact, while we wish Grid Legends’ career mode was a little better, there’s not a sub-par game amongst the non Game Preview titles. As for the Game Preview games? We have our fingers crossed but we’ll have to wait to take them for a spin.

The titles below are leaving Game Pass at the end of the month and if you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, don’t forget about this month’s Games With Gold.

  • Donut County (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master (Console and PC)
  • Telling Lies (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Worms WMD (Cloud, Console, and PC)

He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
