How to Fast Travel in One Piece Odyssey

One Piece Odyssey Fast Travel

The world in One Piece Odyssey is rather large, and so you might be wondering if you can fast travel around it. Well, can you?

The good news is that yes, you can fast travel in One Piece Odyssey. The bad news is you cannot access is straight away. You’ll unlock fast travel part way through chapter two, when you’re in the Great Sandy Desert. It’s around eight to ten hours into the game, but the good news is that it’s part of the story, so you can’t miss it.

As part of a story mission, you’ll help a strange character called Yoisa. By fighting away some enemies, you’ll befriend Yoisa – and it just so happens that they’re the key to fast travel. Once you’ve completed this part of the mission, you’ll instantly have access to Yoisa Travel. Have you spotted those road signs dotted around the world in One Piece Odyssey? They’re fast travel points.

Press the ‘options’ button or the touchpad on a PlayStation controller to access the in-game map. From there, you can press the square button (or X on an Xbox controller) to choose ‘Yoisa Travel’. You’ll then see a list of all points you can fast travel to one. Select one, and away you go!

There are a couple of caveats. Firstly, you can only fast travel to a Yoisa Travel point that you’ve already unlocked. And so, whenever you see one of those travel points in the world, ensure you go up to it and press circle/B in order to interact with it. That will ensure it’s active next time you want to fast travel.

Secondly, fast travel isn’t always available. Many story missions will make you travel on foot, even if you’re going to areas you’ve already been. If you can’t fast travel, the option to select ‘Yoisa Travel’ on the map will be greyed out.
