Do you need to know how to heal your party members in One Piece Odyssey? There are multiple ways to do so.
Keeping your party members in good health is key to success in combat in One Piece Odyssey. And, with many battles to take part in, you’re going to want to make sure everyone’s HP meter is in tip-top shape. Thankfully, whether you’re in or out of battle, there are plenty of ways to heal in One Piece Odyssey.
How to heal in battle in One Piece Odyssey
If you’re in battle, healing a character will take up a turn. But it’s often worth sacrificing dealing damage to ensure someone isn’t going to die. There are two ways you can heal in battle: you can use an item, or you can use Chopper’s healing abilities.
To use an item, press left on the d-pad or thumbstick to select ‘items’, then press X (or A on an Xbox controller). You can choose either a Recovery Item or a Food Item. Early on in the game, you’ll likely make use of Energy Apples, which recover 500 HP. Later on, you’ll gather food items that heal much more.
If Chopper is in your party, you can use his healing skills to restore HP. To use a skill, press right on the d-pad or thumbstick to select ‘skills’. To begin with, Chopper only has one skill which will restore 50% of one party member’s HP. As you progress and unlock more abilities, Chopper will be able to heal multiple party members at once.
How to heal outside of battle
You can also use any healing item in your inventory outside of battle if you need to. Simply head to the main menu, navigate to your inventory, then select the item you’d like to use.
We’d recommend not wasting your items if you don’t need to though. The best way to heal in One Piece Odyssey outside of battle is to visit a save point. They’re plentiful as you make your way through the game, and simply interacting with one will completely restore the HP of your entire party.
