Like a Dragon: Ishin Has Some Pretty Exciting Cameos to Look Forward To

Like a Dragon: Ishin

Today, SEGA has announced a rather interesting tidbit of news for the upcoming Like a Dragon: Ishin – two famous faces who are set to cameo in the game.

Releasing on 21st February, Like a Dragon: Ishin is the next game from Ryu Ga Gotou Studio, the team behind the Yakuza series. It’s essentially a Yakuza game in all but name, but rather than being set in modern-day Japan it takes place in 1860s Kyo, putting players in the role of a samurai.

We were already rather hyped to jump in, but today’s announcement has made us even more keen to jump into this historical adventure. You see, former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and The Haunting of Bly Manor actor Rahul Kohli are both on board to take special guest-starring roles in the game.

They are two of six special guests to appear in Like a Dragon: Ishin, with their role in the game being characters who answer Sakamoto Ryoma’s call for revolution. Both Kohli and Omega will become samurai soldiers with their own Trooper Cards: an in-game feature that grant players temporary abilities in battle.

That means there are still four special guests to be announced, all to take up the mantle of special Trooper Cards. We won’t even dare hazard a guess as to who they can be, but we’re fairly sure that SEGA will be announcing them in the next few weeks leading up to Like a Dragon: Ishin‘s release.

Give the videos a watch below to learn more about Rahul Kohli and Kenny Omega’s roles in the game.

Like a Dragon: Ishin is launching on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/s and PC on 21st February.
