Madison is Bringing its Horrors to PSVR2 and PCVR

Madison VR

Madison is making the leap to VR, as the PCVR and PSVR2-bound Madison VR.

Yes, technically it’s MADiSON VR, but its weird capitalisation is making our brains hurt. The original, which launched last year, sees you roaming your grandfather’s spooky old house, with only a supernatural camera for assistance.

We reviewed it last year, calling it the “…best pure horror game in years, shredding the nerves of even the most brave of souls”, and awarding it an outstanding 9 out of 10. So how much scarier is it going to be in VR? We’d suggest you start stockpiling the brown trousers right now.

Developer Bloodious Games have, via IGN, released a very brief trailer, though it doesn’t really show much in the way of gameplay. It’s set for a PlayStation VR2 and PC release, published by Perp Games. When, exactly? There’s no price release date for Madison VR, but it will be arriving this year. So don’t count it amongst the PSVR2’s launch titles, but it will be coming to the platform.

There’s no news as to whether there’ll be a Meta Quest 2 version though, going by the non-VR version, Bloodious would have to dial down the graphic settings a little. In the meantime, you can buy the original on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
