Ubisoft has revealed the next entry in its open world racing series The Crew, and it looks like it’s very much inspired by Forza Horizon.
The Crew Motorfest will launch later this year, and rather than focusing on the streets of America it’s going to whisk players away to a beautiful Hawaiian island. Needless to say, you’ll be able to drift on mountain roads, carefully navigate a lush rainforest, speed through city streets or simply cruise on the beach. Sounds good to us.
Much like the Forza Horizon series, The Crew Motorfest will have you joining a fun-filled festival where indulging in car culture is the order of the day. While there are no specifics as of yet, it is stated that there’ll be a series of tailor-made races to complete, as well as themed events and challenges. And of course, you’ll be able to tackle them alone or as part of a crew.
What’s particularly notable about The Crew Motorfest so far is that there’s no hint of it offering vehicles other than cars. While that may disappoint some, we’re hopeful that the singular focus will lead to a better game overall.
