Are you unsure of how to upgrade your units in Company of Heroes 3? You’ve come to the right place: read on to find out.
War makes men out of boys. That unnecessarily gendered phrase is no less true as it was during World War II. And having veterans and improved units can make the difference between holding and retreating. It is imperative, then, that you upgrade your units in Company of Heroes 3 to be the best they can be.
To upgrade in Company of Heroes 3, you will need to go to the ‘Upgrade’ tab in the grid view at the bottom right-hand side of the screen. It is displayed by an upwards arrow. Your grid will now be full of potential upgrades.
By hovering over each upgrade you will see what it does, what units or buildings it affects and any prerequisite costs. Select the upgrade you want to apply it to your unit.
However, if the option to acquire an upgrade is greyed out, then you’re missing a requirement. Perhaps you don’t have enough resources, or you don’t already own the required building. Hover again over the upgrade that you want, and you’ll be notified of what you need to do to meet the upgrade requirements.
