Level 5’s Vision Event Will Show off Professor Layton and the World of Steam

Level 5 Vision 2033

Are you eagerly awaiting Professor Layton and the World of Steam? Then Level 5’s Vision event, taking place this March, is for you.

There are other Level 5 games on show too, but that’s the game we’ll be watching Level 5’s Vision event for. It was announced during February’s Nintendo Direct and, after the puzzle-solving professor’s near ten-year absence, we’re glad to get him back.

We’re also curious to see whether this new Professor Layton game will connect to Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy. That game lacked Layton but it did feature his daughter and ended on something of a cliffhanger. But all we’ve seen so far is the briefest of teaser trailers.

Aside from Layton, Level 5 have announced that these games will put in an appearance:

  • Decapolice
  • Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.
  • Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road
  • Megaton Musashi Wired

Of those titles, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is the one that stands out. It’s the latest in a series of anime-styled football RPGs that don’t always find their way to the west. Professor Layton and the World of Steam is a Switch exclusive but you can expect these other titles to hit multiple platforms.

So how and when can you watch this event? It takes place at March 9th at 8:00PM JST/11:00AM GMT/3:00AM PT. It’ll be streamed on Level 5’s official YouTube channel.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
