Nintendo has just announced a showcase incoming imminently.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 8th February, we’ll be treated to a Nintendo Direct. This is a proper Nintendo Direct, too: not a ‘Mini’ one, not a Partner Showcase and not an indie-focused showcase. It’s time to get a little bit excited.
Exactly what’s going to be shown at the Nintendo Direct remains to be seen. But Nintendo have confirmed it will focus on “Nintendo Switch games launching in the first half of 2023”.
There are a few first-party releases we already know about: Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe is out later this month; Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is out in March, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is out in May. We imagine the Direct will spend time on each of these – most definitely Tears of the Kingdom – but we can expect some new announcements to come, too.
It’s pointless to speculate this close to the event, and so we may as well just wait until tomorrow to find out. The Nintendo Direct will be livestreamed at 10pm GMT/2pm PT tomorrow, 8th February. You can watch it via the YouTube by following this link.
