Sons of the Forest lets you join forces with Virginia, a three armed, three legged former socialite. But can she die?
Sons of the Forest’s Virginia is a real blessing, almost as much as the game’s other friendly NPC, Kelvin. It takes a while for her to warm up to you but if you give her a weapon she’ll eventually get the hang of blasting any enemies who come near. But can Virginia die in Sons of the Forest?
She can certainly take damage, which isn’t surprising given she’s taking on cannibals and mutants. And if she’s downed, the good news is that you can interact with her and heal her up, letting her carry on the fight.
The bad news is that if Virginia takes additional damage when downed she will die. And then, that’s it for that playthrough. Well, you can edit the save files to resurrect her in the same way you can resurrect Kelvin, but that would be cheating.
We recommend you keep an eye on her and don’t let her take all the strain in combat. And when she’s downed, rush in and heal her. However, since you can’t command her you can’t order her to stay out of trouble.
But the answer to can Virginia die in Sons of the Forest is yes – she definitely can.
