Playing through Project Zero / Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse? You might be wondering if the game has New Game Plus, allowing you to carry over some of your progress into a new game.
Finally released in the west after some 15 years, Project Zero / Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is undoubtedly one of the best entries in the camera-based horror series. Though as you play through it you’ll find that it has a lot of collectibles to be acquired that are easy to miss, and upgrading your camera and lenses to the max doesn’t seem possible. But don’t worry, Project Zero / Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse does indeed have New Game Plus.
To access New Game Plus in Project Zero / Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, you first need to complete the game. It doesn’t matter what difficulty you do it on. Well, unless you want to unlock Nightmare difficulty. After watching or skipping the credits, you’ll then be prompted to create clear data. Make sure you do this.
When back on the main menu, if you select the Load Game option you’ll notice that the image for the clear data is lighter in colour, making it stand out. Handy. Load this data, and you’ll then be taken to a new game set up screen, where you can start new game plus, unlock extras and a whole lot more. When selecting New Game Plus, you’ll even find that you can change the difficulty, which is handy for those wanting wanting more of a challenge.
