How to Increase or Decrease Game Speed in Anno 1800 Console Edition

Anno 1800

Are you wondering how to increase or decrease your game speed in Anno 1800 Console Edition? Here’s what you need to know.

Depending what you’re doing in Anno 1800 Console Edition, you might want to increase or decrease your game speed. The slowest speed allows you to take your time, ideal when you’re at a tense moment or doing something that requires a lot of thought. The fastest speed, however, is useful when you simply need to let time tick by – while you’re waiting for resources to pile up, perhaps. Thankfully, changing the game speed is very straightforward.

To increase or decrease game speed in Anno 1800 Console Edition, simply hold down triangle/Y then press left or right on your d-pad. This will cycle through the four available settings: pause, normal speed, medium speed and fastest speed.

You can always see which speed your game is currently running at in the top-left hand corner of your screen.

You’re free to change your speed whenever, too. Just remember that if your game is paused, you can queue up builds and make changes to settings, but nothing will change until you resume. We’d recommend playing on normal or medium speed until you learn the ropes. After all, it can be easy to get overwhelmed on the highest setting.
