Deceive Inc, out now on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, has you sneaking and shooting your way around various locations. The snag is that you’re not the only one trying to steal some secrets – there are other players at it too. But if you’re up for the challenge, you might be wondering, is Deceive Inc free to play?
Deceive Inc is not free to play, though it does also have cosmetic microtransactions. So if you want to join in you’re going to have to pay to play. It’s priced at $19.99 on Steam (and other storefronts) so it won’t break the bank.
However, when it comes to microtransactions we have good news and bad news. The good news is that you can’t buy your way to victory, they’re cosmetic only. The bad news is that Deceive Inc’s microtransactions are pretty pricey.
The game’s currency is Bonds, which come in packs of 200, 500, 1,000, 2,400 and 5,600. That last pack will set you back $39.99 – yes, nearly twice the price of the game. And the items you can buy? Well, if you want to buy an emote, you’re looking at spending at least $4.00.
So Deceive Inc is not free – and even though it’s not, it still has microtransactions.
