Amnesia: The Bunker Has Been Delayed Again

Amnesia: The Bunker has been delayed again though this time around it’s just been pushed back by a week.

The latest entry in Frictional Games’ survival horror series sees you sealed in a WWI bunker – hence the title – and, unsurprisingly, things don’t go well. Amnesia: The Bunker was set for a February release then was delayed until May and it’s now been delayed until.. May?

Yes, it’s only a week later than planned – that means it’s going to turn up this May 23rd. “This will give us a little more time to polish the game and make sure everything is perfect before launch,” reads Frictional’s tweeted statement.

We’re fine with that. We can always go back and play Soma for the fifteenth time. No, we’re not kidding.. that game has only grown on us. Though it does mean we’re going to be spending another week trying to work out what the game’s big twist is.

Is our protagonist dead the whole time? Is the bunker really an entrance to another dimension? Are we just a Blackadder Goes Forth extra who got lost on the way to the studio? Is the monster just an angry casting agent?

We’ll find out this May 23rd, when Amnesia: The Bunker lands on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
