Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Final Gameplay Trailer is Speeder Bike-tastic.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is less than three weeks away from release and so, EA and Respawn have released a ridiculous new trailer.

Sure, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s final gameplay trailer does include a peek or two at the action-RPG’s story. It gives us another look at former Nightsister Merrin who will likely come to blows with Cal. And Cere Junda underlines how much Cal has changed in the five years since Fallen Order.

But those aren’t the trailer’s standout moments. What’s made the biggest impression on us is watching a Rancor lumber into view and seeing Cal throw a trooper into the path of a TIE Fighter. No, we’re not making that up.

What makes it more ridiculous is that Cal and the trooper are riding speeder bikes at the time. Cal Force Pulls him off the bike, then pitches into the path of the TIE. What’s not clear is just how much control you have over this. We’re hoping, at the very least, that it’s a quicktime event.

True, it’s not quite as over the top as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed’s trailer. The trailer for that 2008 game saw protagonist Galen Starkiller pull a Star Destroyer out of the sky and pull it into the ground. But it’s still a very cool moment. The trailer also features more hot BD-1 action, so our prediction the droid would die early on may well be wrong.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor arrives this April 28th with, as he been recently been revealed, the option to change Cal’s facial hair. It’ll be landing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
