Cabernet, coming to PC next year, will cast you as a newly-turned vampire, trying to find her place in the supernatural world.
You play Liza, who’s relatively new to the neckbiting game so, amongst other things, she’s got to pick her own path. Will she nibble here and there or will she lose herself in her vampiric nature and become a monster? Cabernet promises to let you choose.
Developed by two-person dev team Party for Introverts, it won’t be arriving till 2024 but we’re hoping it’ll be worth waiting for. The art style is certainly gorgeous, conveying the polite veneer of Liza’s upper-class 19th century world.
You’ll get to forge relationships with a variety of characters, many of whom could be on the menu or, if we’re playing, probably all of them. Hey, you can’t make an omelette without biting a few necks.
We’re also happy to see that you get to employ all manner of vampiric powers. As of rigth now, we don’t yet know how much comedy is going to figure into the game. But we’re absolutely going to be yelling “BAT!” at the screen, What We Do in the Shadows style.
Cabernet will rise from its coffin some time next year. In the meantime, you check out the trailer above or wishlist it on Steam.
