Are you unsure on how to exit a level in Grindstone once you’re done? Here’s what you need to know.
In each level of Grindstone, there are three goals to complete: unlocking the door, opening a treasure chest and collecting a crown. Only one of these is a requirement, however, and that’s unlocking the door. The door will unlock once you’ve killed the correct number of enemies, displayed in the top-left corner of the screen. But once you’re done, how do you exit a level in Grindstone?
Exiting a level in Grindstone means physically making your way through the door. Unlike other puzzle games, you aren’t automatically presented with a ‘Level Complete’ screen. You can keep playing through a level of Grindstone as long as you want: leave as soon as you can, or mop up as much loot as you possibly can. It’s very much a risk versus reward scenario.
When you’re ready to leave, you’ll need to chain enemies leading out of the door to exit a level in Grindstone. It doesn’t have to be a chain of a certain length, though. If you’re right next to the door, just one move will get you out of the level.
If you’re on the brink of death and want to quit the level before completing, however, you can do that too. Head into the options menu and click the button at the top to escape. You’ll lose any loot and items you’ve collected so far, though.
