How to Use Boost in LEGO 2K Drive

LEGO 2K Drive

You’ll want to learn how to boost in LEGO 2K Drive if you want to speed past your opponents.

Many of the vehicles found in LEGO 2K Drive are capable of going fast. But sometimes you want to go really fast, and that requires boost. Enable boost and you’ll get a sudden burst of speed, allowing you to speed past your opponents. And so you might be wondering: how do you use boost in LEGO 2K Drive?

To use boost in LEGO 2K Drive, you first need to fill the boost meter. This can be found at the bottom of the screen, and can be charged by destroying objects, drifting, getting air time, and more. Thankfully, it doesn’t need to be completely full to use boost; as long as it’s got a bit of charge, you’re good to go. To engage boost, just press and hold the boost button, which by default is the X button on PlayStation, A button on Xbox, and B button on Switch.

While you’re holding the boost button, your vehicle will gain a considerable amount of speed. Use it to speed past opponents on straights, gain more air off ramps, and even destroy opponents silly enough to dawdle in front of you. Just remember that it’s not infinite. The best racers employ it when they know it can make a difference.
