Nicolas Cage is coming to Dead by Daylight, as one of the game’s serial-killer battling survivors.
He’ll be “.. cast in otherworldly Fog, forced to Survive a host of terrifying Killers deadlier than even the most scathing film critic.” Which, if we’re honest, is as much as a surprise as Cage joining Dead by Daylight. We can’t actually picture Cage running around, meddling with this asymetric multiplayer game’s generators, or hiding in a locker.
If anything, the teaser trailer reminds us of his entirely mute performance in Willy’s Wonderland. How about turning Dead by Daylight on its head and having you, as the animatronics, flee Nicolas Cage? Hey, it could happen.
Failing that, we’re hoping for at least one bee-related special move. We’ll have to wait a little while to find out, however. While Behaviour Interactive has confirmed Cage’s addition to the game they’ve not said when he’ll be joining in the slasher-dodging activities.
What we do know is that Cage is lending his voice to the character. As much as we got a kick out of the Terminator being in Mortal Kombat 11, we missed Arnold Schwarzenegger’s voice. Behaviour has promised to reveal more details this coming July 5th.
But for now, why not re-watch Willy’s Wonderland or The Weight of Massive Talent, just to get yourself in the mood?
