Rainbow High: Runway Rush is Coming to Consoles This September

Rainbow High: Runway Rush

Great news for parents of young girls: the popular doll range Rainbow High is getting a video game, coming to consoles this autumn.

If you’ve got a daughter, niece, or a friend with kids, there’s a good chance you’ll be familiar with Rainbow High. This range of colourful dolls has dominated toy shop shelves since 2020, and its popularity has even spawned a Netflix animated series. That’s right: a cartoon based on toys, and not the other way round. Their popularity knows no bounds, it would seem, as they’re soon getting transformed into video game form with Rainbow High: Runway Rush.

The game, a single-player affair aimed at younger players, lets you play as any one of the Rainbow High crew: Ruby, Poppy, Sunny, Jade, Skyler or Violet. There’ll be assignments to complete – including art projects – and the whole Rainbow High universe to explore. You can hang out in the school’s atrium, pay a visit to Sunny’s bedroom, take a break in the Student Lounge, and more.

As players make their way through Rainbow High: Runway Rush, they’ll gather together new outfits, collect rainbow diamonds and solve puzzles as they help their Rainbow High friends.

Rainbow High: Runway Rush will be available from 22nd September. It’s coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC. Sure, it’s not going to be for everyone, but if you’ve got a youngster in your life who loves Rainbow High dolls, we’ve no doubt this is going to be a big hit.

Editor in chief // Kim's been into video games since playing Dizzy on her brother's Commodore 64 as a nipper. She'll give just about anything a go, but she's got a particular soft spot for indie adventures. If she's not gaming, she'll be building Lego, reading a thriller, watching something spooky or... asleep. She does love to sleep.
