PC gamers have yet another Sony PlayStation exclusive to look forward to, with the latest Ratchet & Clank announced to be leaving the confines of the PS5 console this July.
We absolutely loved Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart when it launched on PS5 mid-way through 2021. We called it “jaw-droppingly gorgeous” and “the best game in the series by far.” Now, PC gamers are going to be able to see what all the fuss was about, and perhaps even push it beyond what the PS5 was capable of.
Launching on 26th July, the PC port of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, handled by Nixxes, will have all the features that PC gamers would expect. There’s support for ultrawide resolutions, the controls have been adapted for mouse and keyboard, and there are additional graphical settings including ray-traced shadows for exteriors.
For those with PCs up to the task, then, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is likely to look absolutely stunning. Performance shouldn’t be an issue, either, thanks to the inclusion of the latest upscaling technologies including DLSS 3, FSR 2 and XeSS.
Those keen to jump into Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be happy to hear that it’s available to preorder right now. Those who do preorder the title will gain early access to the Carbonox armour and Pixelizer weapon, which can be obtained in-game at a later point. Check out the game’s Steam page for more information.
