Want to hear tracks from Sonic the Hedgehog performed by an official SEGA-backed orchestra? The Sonic Symphony World Tour could be for you.
Sega has announced that, after a couple of prior performances, they’re taking the Sonic Symphony on a world tour. It’s not all orchestra-based, however, there’s a smaller rock-based sub-ensemble involve too as you may have spotted if you’ve watched the online version of the concert.
Aside from the online performance, Sonic Symphony has also performed at 2022’s Brazil Game Show. Now, you’ve got the chance to see it in person. Each concert will feature music from multiple Sonic games, including a medley from Sonic 2006. Though you can bet that the on-stage display won’t be showing that bit where Sonic kisses a human princess. There should be a Sonic Mania medley too.
So far, only two dates have been announced which is a little underwhelming. Those dates are as follows:
- September 16, 2023 – London, UK at Barbican Hall
- September 30, 2023 – Los Angeles, CA at Dolby Theatre
Sega should be adding more dates later, and you sign up via the official Sonic Symphony website if you want to be alerted. You’ll also be able to order tickets through the website which, right now, are priced at between £25 and £105 for the UK show and $55 and $150 for the US show.
Tickets go on sale on May 25th to Sonic Symphony newsletter subscribers, May 26th for everyone else.
