Stray is coming to Xbox according to the ESRB’s rating page for the game.
This post-apocalyptic cat game launched on PC and PlayStation last year but now seems destined for an Xbox release. As spotted by Twitter user MACOS380 (thanks, VGC), the ESRB has now rated an Xbox version of Stray.
According to the ESRB’s listing, it’s rated E for Everyone, an identical rating to the PC and PlayStation versions. It’s also set to hit the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S though there’s been no official announcement from Annapurna Interactive or developer BlueTwelve.
As has been the case with various other games, Stray will have been a timed exclusive. And now that time is up – or nearly up – it’s almost certainly coming to Xbox. And you know what? We couldn’t be happier.
There are, in fact, a few people grumbling about how Xbox players are going to get to enjoy the game. No, really. Just have a poke around Twitter, there are people dunking on it for coming to Microsoft’s console. But it’s a superb game and it deserves the biggest audience it can get.
We reviewed it back in July 2022, calling it a “..wonderful adventure worth jumping into..”, and remarking that you’ll “..quickly fall in love with your adorable four-legged protagonist.” As to when it’ll be released, we’d expect Annapurna Interactive to announce something fairly soon. You know, now that the cat’s out of the bag.
