There’s an Evercade Showcase Tonight at 8pm BST

Evercade Showcase

Do you own an Evercade, or are you interested in the nifty handheld device? You might want to tune into the Evercade Showcase tonight.

We love Evercade. The company has made a number of consoles designed purely to play retro games, provided on proprietary cartridges. Over the last few years, Evercade has released more than 30 different cartridge collections, allowing us to easily revisit both timeless classics and those games from our youth that we thought were lost. And tonight, the Evercade Showcase Vol. 1 stream will reveal what’s coming next from the company.

Exactly what will be announced during the Evercade Showcase is unclear. In a teaser email sent out from the company, we’ve been told there’ll be “plenty of cartridge collections, news about the rest of 2023, and maybe a surprise or two…”.

In other words, we’ll have some information on new Evercade cartridges we can expect throughout 2023, alongside more updates from the company. It seems unlikely that any new hardware will be announced, considering the latest handheld, Evercade EXP, released less than six months ago. But you never know. Mostly, we’re expecting announcements regarding new game releases.

The latest Evercade cartridges to be released are the Piko Collection 3 and Team 17 Amiga Collection 1. They’re both available from today.

The Evercade Showcase will be streamed on YouTube at 8pm BST / 3pm ET / 12pm PT. Click here to watch it via Evercade’s official YouTube channel.

If she's not gaming, she'll be building Lego, reading a thriller, watching something spooky or... asleep. She does love to sleep.
