Wizard of Legend 2 Announced

Wizard of Legend 2

Announced at the Humble Games Showcase, Wizard of Legend is getting a sequel.

Set for release later this year, Wizard of Legend 2 will sport vibrant new 3D visuals and action packed gameplay for up to four players. That’s two more than last time. While many familiar Arcane will return, there’ll be plenty of new ones, too, allowing players to have lots of fun experimenting with combinations.

Also announced was the news that the Wizard of Legend IP is now owned by Humble Games. Wanting to focus their efforts elsewhere, original developer Contingent 99 is offering guidance to Dead Mage, who are instead on development duties. There no reason to worry though, as there’s a clear passion for the IP.

Those who love a bit of dungeon crawling with rogue-like elements would be wise to keep Wizard of Legend 2 on their radar. We rather liked the original Wizard of Legend, stating in our review that it was “wonderfully put together”. Needless to say, we’re excited to see how the sequel can expand and improve upon it.
