In case you’re wondering whether you’ve stepped back in time a few weeks, the answer is no. Annapurna Interactive has been putting on a yearly showcase for a few years now and they’re always distinct from the usual Summer Game Fest events.
So what’s in store this year? Annapurna have remained relatively tight-lipped but they have released a teaser trailer of sorts. But the sneaky thing is that it also features some previous Annapurna releases.
So, by featuring footage of Neon White, Annapurna could be hinting that there’s DLC on on the way. Or it could just be to show off how cool Neon White is. We doubt we’re getting a Stray sequel just yet, though we wouldn’t say no to more Outer Wilds content.
It’s more likely that we’re getting confirmed release dates for the Nintendo Switch versions of Stray and and Outer Wilds. The latter was featured in a Nintendo Direct in 2021, when it was scheduled for a summer 2021 release. Clearly that didn’t happen so this could be the year this space exploration game touches down.
So how can you watch the showcase and when? It’s taking place today at 12 PM PDT, 3 PM EDT and 8 PM BST. It’ll be streamed via Annapurna Interactive’s YouTube channel and Twitch channel and should be archived on YouTube afterwards.
